Radio - a Powerful Medium

More than a billion hours of radio was consumed by UK radio listeners in the first quarter of 2024 - nearly 90% of the population.

A record 39.1m are now listening to UK commercial radio, up 3.5m from 5 years ago with listening on FM/AM, DAB, online, digital TV as well as smart speakers.

And it’s one of our unique selling points, at Anything but Footy, that we have great contacts with so many radio stations who trust us to provide and deliver content for their listeners.

“I was delighted with the reaction from our listeners to the Cooler Runnings series. We aren’t an official broadcaster of the Winter Olympics or Winter Paralympics so it was vital to bring our audience the best coverage possible of these prestigious events. This was reflected by our listeners over phone and messages. The Anything but Footy team were a delight to work with and fully understood talkSPORT’s working practice. Their packages were sharp and full of energy and delivered engaging and fascinating content to our listeners. I hope to work with them again in the future.”

Radio Work

With the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris nearly here, we have been working with organisations including British Triathlon, British Canoeing, British Sailing and British Cycling to help increase the profile of their Team GB and Paralympics GB stars. Our interviews have been featured on many of the biggest radio brands in the country helping those athletes and sports reach huge new audiences.

You can also hear John every week on Times Radio bringing listeners up to date with the latest sports news every Saturday afternoon, whilst Michael features regularly on talkSPORT where he can be heard reporting on events including the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
